Congratulations you found us!
We are not breeders we are family ! Unlike breeders there is not a cage in our home, we have slow litters not rushing things, and by design over the years our program has developed into the highest quality that can be found anywhere in the world. Even before the puppies are born we're talking to them through Glory's stomach, we play music to them, and from the moment they're born we take great consideration and time to individually pour tremendous amounts of love, caring, and attention into all the details that make the difference in the years to come.
We ask that you fill it on application so that we can get to know you, as much as you get to know us. You see we hand pick all of our Mommies and Daddies to join our family. Please understand why we are so elite and choosy, I would drop everything to drive or fly across the country to rescue one of my babies! You may notice in the contract that you're welcome to pass along to a relative or a friend, but you're legally obligated to call me personally before you surrender one of our babies to a shelter or a rescue. We simply will not allow our fur children to end up at a shelter or rescue ever! We will always welcome them back home. Each one of our babies is meticulously and affectionately cultivated and doted over 24 hours a day 7 days a week from the moment they're born until we finally are forced to let them go. When they leave our hands to go into yours. We expect the best care for them for the rest of their lives. In return you will find no better friend anywhere in the world. We pride ourselves on a truly superior end result that cannot be found no matter how much time or money is spent trying to locate it.
I want to stress, No amount of money in the world can be offered to tempt us to sell to the wrong home. I don’t care about money, I've had obscene offers, for many times more than what we ask, and there is nothing that can persuade me to sell to someone who's not a good fit. I promised my "children" only the best most loving filled homes for them, and once I give my word I always keep it. In the end we just will not place one of our babies in the wrong home, with the wrong family, or with the wrong person. Simply put you're joining our family for the rest of your life, we support our babies from the moment even before they're born and forever. This has worked out to be a blessing from above because we always have way more great future families interested than we could ever have puppies. To the lucky few about to join our family, we are open arms.
Our process is simple. We do not take deposits, we know if for any reason you change your mind that there is a waiting list of loving homes anxious to join our family. We want loving homes to join our family! Please contact us for payment plans, and pricing. We will work with you to place our babies into the most loving homes!
We carefully screen our future Mommies and Daddies to ensure only the best most love filled homes join our family. We match personalities with your environment and YOU! This ensures that our babies will have success, the highest quality of life, and thrive. No one can go home prior to 10 weeks, this critical time of development no shortcuts will be taken I love when you keep an open mind for markings and sex, this allows us to perfectly match personality and behavior to YOU, your family, and environment. For example if one of our babies shows that they are more pack driven, we would never place in a single dog home. Also if one puppy prefers to be apart from the pack and seeks one on one human contact, we would never place in a home with multiple pets. We hope you understand that these are our "children" and everything done is for their best interest.
Unlike other breeders who offer you a photo and a price and nothing more, we work diligently to observe their personalities, and to encourage good traits and behaviors early on; in this way you're not just buying the book because the cover looks good. You actually get to know the story and so although the book will unfold in your environment and along with your interaction, you are informed and know what it's about and what to expect. This process is a way that lets you completely fall in love and know it’s a story you would read lifetimes over and over.
I assure you each one of our babies gets an immeasurable amount of love, time, scrutiny, and individualized coaching poured into them, this makes all the difference in the world over the next 20+ years to come. I like to think of it as pre-kindergarten for future Mensa members. Although some personalities are independent we are trying by design to make the biggest cuddle monster and little love bug that can be found anywhere in the entire world. I cannot put into words the amount of love you are about to receive back. I spent over 250 hours researching before I bought Glory. I was willing to pay any price $10,000 or $20,000 plus and ship from Russia or Europe or anywhere worldwide. Simply put, I found the highest standards that could be located or purchased, and we have taken those standards and elevated them to the preeminent level I was hoping existed, but could not find. That is why our guarantees are the strongest you'll find anywhere. (If you find better guarantees please let me know!)
To use a metaphor your best friend's mind is like clay, it can be molded into any masterpiece the time is taken to create. We simply are making the best start to the ultimate masterpiece that can be.
Puppies are born deaf and blind but with their noses wide open! We immediately start associating smells, tastes, physical contact, and all environmental inputs with them so that when their eyes open they associate what they see with the smells and taste we have embedded in their memories. When they can hear, we ring a bell to associate the sound with the taste smell, and sight. For example a little smell then a drop of gravy on their tongue and then as they grow every time we ring the bell and give them a treat they associate the sound of a ring bell with something good! Building on that, when it's time to go outside for potty training we ring the bell by the back door and they all come running. By the time they're 6 weeks old, all the puppies are hurling themselves out of the doggie door into the backyard for potty training. We take special care to do many hours of sensory input including loud noises, car rides, submerging the body up to the neck in water, and too many more examples to list. This method embeds memories that definitely affect behaviors later in life, such as not to be startled at loud noises, perhaps to become a swimming dog, and too many more to list.
I'm against crate training, specifically using a crate with metal bars especially over long periods of time (safe space training is preferred) . We do recommend a soft crate however because dogs are den animals that need a dark quiet safe place as a refuge. Ultimately all of our dogs and all of our babies are in the bed with us every night snoring in our ear cuddling against our neck, heartbeat to heart beat, breath to breath, and we wouldn't have it any other way! Unlike other breeders who may have nine females, kept in a kennel, and puppies may or may not get some attention or touch; these super special rarities here share our life, and ARE our life!
My parents were dog breeders of Irish setters. I literally was going to AKC shows while I was in diapers. I thought it was quite normal for everyone to have dogs around them, and be consumed in their life with dogs and everything about them. We had dachshunds as indoor pets and later in life I was a breeder of Labradors for decades, with amazing success. When by chance I came back to the Dachshund breed I realized what I had been missing, and I've been faithful to them ever since. Dachshunds have personalities bigger than any dog I've ever met. They're not for everyone but for those who understand that for such a small dog they have the largest personality that can be found of any dog, there's no other that will do.
We absolutely love to show off and welcome you to come to our home and meet the family and catch this infectious passion!! What we do, the whole process, is an absolute work of love. Now for the next couple of months we expect to get very little sleep, but in the end the Mommy and Daddy's who send us back photos, videos, amazing stories, and who compliment us on how different and absolutely wonderful their new family members are. That makes everything we do worth it. I could care less about money, the real reward is the former mentioned. compliments on the difference. We especially love when it is noticed by all you know and meet, that you have something special that can be plainly seen but more so sensed. "Rock Stars everywhere we go" is a compliment I hold dearly from a member of our extended family.
Please pour over our web site meticulously and see why you cannot find this anywhere else. Good luck, and God bless.

Now the interesting stuff:
WINDOW OF OPPORTUNITY
The most influential time of a puppy's life is between three and six weeks. Fear is not present in newborn puppies. It begins to develop slowly around five weeks of age, and increases gradually until it escalates in the fear imprint period during the eighth week.
Therefore, there is a window of opportunity between three and six weeks of age when anxiety levels in the puppy are the lowest they’ll ever be in their entire life. Anything the puppy is exposed to between this time frame will therefore be associated with low anxiety. It will be permanently ingrained in the central nervous system and forever remembered as something that is pleasant or neutral because happening when it does it is interpreted as a non fearful, non anxiety evoking object or experience. This is the time we look at the possibilities of what the puppy may encounter later in life and ensure they are incrementally exposed to the stimuli during this time frame.
Stress reactions by the dam during gestation can be passed on to her puppies, so take great care in providing a calm, non-stressful prenatal environment. Also we ensure our Mothers receive proper exercise, nutrition and attention to the fullest.
Studies have shown that when a pregnant Mom is petted, the litter is more docile. The petting activates the parasympathetic system, facilitating relaxation, emotional attachment and socialization. Puppies from a petted mother have a greater tolerance to handling than puppies from a mother that is not petted.
There is also an array of other relaxation therapies such as soothing music, aromatherapy, massage, design touch and other therapies to provide the best prenatal environment to doggie mothers! We love to go overboard here as this is our family.
PRENATAL VIBRATIONAL THERAPY
We always use vibrational therapy which includes vibrations delivered to the pups through a device held against the mother's belly. These various stimulation's are used in an effort to help the puppies begin their socialization and awareness process prenatally. Using this stimulation has shown increased activity of the pups in the womb. Studies show this helps with brain development early on.
We start getting to know our puppies in the immediate moments after their birth by performing the Biotinus test, also known as the vigor for life test., between 3-16 days. The ENS has significant and lasting effects which includes: improved cardiovascular performance, stronger heart beats, stronger adrenal glands, more tolerance to stress and greater resistance to disease. Stimulated puppies are better in solving problems, less disturbed and upset, they seldom become hand-shy. We combine these results with all our other exercises, tests, observations, etc to get a better understanding of each individual puppy and their potential future.
We utilize neurological stimulation based research. Incorporating exercises, our puppies are gently handled using a series of exercises to produce brain wave activity that would not naturally occur otherwise. Early brain development is enhanced by creating more neural synapses. This early stimulation has significant and lasting effects which include improved future performance as well as the ability to withstand stress better than pups that are not-stimulated.
Imprinting is a form of learning which occurs from birth to 16 weeks of age and includes behavior patterns which are developing, attachments to people, and preferences for stimuli they've been exposed to. We facilitate this process with various stimuli and activities so the puppies will have a low fear, low anxiety association during this critical window of opportunity
HUMAN SOCIAL ATTACHMENT & BONDING
To facilitate the human/animal bond in our puppies, we begin human social attachment and bonding exercises from the moment the puppies are born, and continue throughout their stay. We want puppies very closely bonded to humans, but not so dependent that they suffer from separation anxiety in the future. We strive for a balance of dependence and independence.
HANDLING & TOUCH CONDITIONING/DESENSITIZATION
We provide gentle daily handling from the day the puppies are born which has been shown to improve their ability to thrive. In addition, touch conditioning and desensitization is provided by manipulating their bodies so puppies are accustomed to being touched in various ways, resulting in low body sensitivity. This conditioning allows for their positive associations and interaction with people, which in turn produces puppies that prefer human interaction opposed to other dogs or the environment yet have an equal balance of all. The desensitization also prepares the puppy for potential day-to-day body bumps, tail grabs by children passing by.
STRESS REDUCTION & CALM CONDITIONING
In an effort to help the puppy develop into a calm and confident dog, we provide the puppy with stimuli and exercises, including design touch to reduce stress, and facilitate them in learning how to relax in stressful situations. This conditioning begins the moment the puppies are born, and continues until they leave, but we strongly encourage new owners to continue this process.
TACTILE STIMULATION & CONDITIONING
Since a puppy's tactile sense is functioning at birth, we begin slowly acclimating the puppies to surfaces and textures they are likely to encounter as an adult. Through short, structured exercises, the puppies are introduced to various stimuli in an effort to condition them, but not over-stress them.
OLFACTORY STIMULATION & CONDITIONING
Not all senses are functioning in a puppy when born, but the olfactory sense is, so we begin acclimating the puppies to smells they are likely to encounter as an adult. This is also a time when scent conditioning for future work in scent detection is introduced and exercises are performed on a daily basis. From the first day until they leave we work this important sense
A puppy is born with his eyes closed and is isolated from visual stimuli. As the puppies eyes begin to open, we utilize exercises to stimulate and enhance their vision. These exercises continue in a careful and systematic fashion to ensure an optimal, stress free experience.
Research has shown that animals raised in a sensory rich environment develop thicker cerebral cortexes, have more synaptic contacts between neurons and have higher levels of neuro-endocrine transmitters in their brains than do those that have been raised in a non-stimulating environment. When measured later in life, the results show that the animals raised in an enriched environment tend to be more inquisitive, more adept at performing difficult tasks, and are more intelligent because they have experienced a great deal while they were young.
Based on this research, we provide an enriched environment for our puppies in a systematic fashion to ensure they have the best chance of developing a sound temperament and the capacity to cope with life situations in the future. The puppies get to exercise their curiosity while having fun exploring the novelties they encounter. We prepare our pups by providing an ever changing environment under controlled circumstances. This results in a puppy who is comfortable in a changing, new environment.
The developmental period from three to 12 weeks is the most influential nine weeks of a puppy’s life. This period is associated with the development of many social behavior patterns and a great deal of learning about the environment. Much of what is learned during this early period is permanent and provides a foundation for adult behavior patterns. To decrease the possibility of fearful responses as a puppy develops, it is essential to expose them to many people, places and things during the socialization period when they can most effectively socialize, localize and habituate to these stimuli. We are systematic in our socialization program based on the things the puppy is expected to coexist with in his future role including people, places and other animals. All socialization is performed in a progressive, step-by-step process to ensure the puppy is having an enjoyable interaction, is safe, and is forming positive associations. We also introduce friendly, rock solid adult dogs for the puppies to interact with, so they can learn appropriate "doggie language" from others in addition to their mom.
We want to expose our puppies to new stimuli without creating a stressful experience, so they are slowly and methodically introduced to new situations and environments, including vehicles. We continuously watch body language, and monitor heart rate for signs of stress. By introducing the puppies to new environments in a structured fashion, they are able to habituate to the stimuli and have positive interactions, thus reducing future issues in unfamiliar situations.
HABITUATION TO NOVEL & ENVIRONMENTAL STIMULI
Habituation is a form of learning in which an animal becomes acclimated to novel and environmental stimuli through exposure and stops responding, ultimately ignoring the stimuli. We provide non-threatening, structured exercises to our puppies through various mediums in an effort to facilitate habituation of day-to-day and novel stimuli in their environment such as vacuum cleaners, blenders, garbage disposals, moving objects, etc. As soon as the puppies eyes/ears open, novel stimuli are put into their whelping box, and continues in our puppy safe area, and then the puppy play yard.
SOUND CONDITIONING & DESENSITIZATION
A puppy is born with his ears closed and is isolated from sound during the first couple weeks. Once his ears open he can respond to sound indiscriminately. His new capacity for learning quickly enables him to discriminate between situations that pose a threat and those which are insignificant. If a puppy is not exposed to sudden noises followed by a low level startle response, and a quick return to normal, he will most likely over react to noises followed by prolonged fearfulness when he enters the fear stage.
We provide sound conditioning and desensitization in a gradual fashion, slowly introducing various sounds in different locations. This is done during the critical period when the puppy's central nervous system is developing. This activity conditions the puppy to have appropriate startle responses followed by quick recovery. In addition, because the puppies are conditioned from an early age, they often develop more confidence and lower noise sensitivity. So, although they will hear an unexpected sound, they should ignore it and continue confidently un-phased.
MENTAL & PHYSICAL CHALLENGES
We provide tiered mind challenging problems that will exercise the brain and enhance its development. This stimulation helps them develop problem solving abilities, confidence, resilience and mental coordination. Puppies raised in environments lacking challenges are more likely to develop into fearful, less successful adults.
We also challenge the puppies physically in an effort to improve muscle coordination, balance, motor skills, confidence, and agile movement, body self-awareness, and development. We provide a “playground” of challenges which helps to develop strength, agility and coordination skills in a fun environment. We begin immediately to build confidence.
We begin touching all parts of the puppy's anatomy from the time they're born in an effort to desensitize to touch. Because many puppies/dogs have an aversion to grooming, we begin by making it a very positive experience. By the time our puppies leave at 7-12 weeks, we strive to assure they are comfortable with bathing, brushing, ear cleaning, teeth brushing, nail clipping, nail dremeling, body checks and more.
In addition to the activities that our puppies do as a litter, and the time they spend with their mom learning important life lessons, we also work with each puppy separately to develop their individual personalities. Puppies act differently as a group, in sub-groups, and in pairs than they do individually, so it's also important for us to observe the changes in personality in various situations. Helping the puppy build their confidence outside the litter is a very important aspect to what we are doing.
Because separation anxiety in older dogs can be a problem later in life, we begin separation conditioning to gradually acclimate a puppy to short periods of being alone so they can form positive associations. Since many assistance dogs are typically with their partner 24/7, they are not accustomed to being alone. In the event their partner has to go into the hospital for an extended stay, or some other unforeseen event separates them, we condition the puppy to be emotionally prepared.
We begin house training our puppies at approximately three weeks of age when they develop the instinctual desire to eliminate outside their nest. We provide many different types of surfaces so the puppy is accustomed to eliminating in any environment. This is helpful for assistance dogs that will be working in various environments, where grass (or whatever they're accustomed to) may not be available. We then transition to outside potty training associated with the smells started on day 1 and bell training started when ears first open.
CORE BEHAVIORS/MANNERS TRAINING
By the time the puppies leave us at 7-12 weeks, they have been taught core behaviors which are geared to avoid typical behavior problems seen in young puppies, such as nipping, difficulty riding in the car, jumping up on people, leash training, hard mouth, separation anxiety, house training, safe space training, etc. We work on all these behaviors so the puppy has a foundation of good manners, making it much easier for the transition to their new environment and follow-up training
SOFT CRATE TRAINING/ SAFE SPACE
We acclimate puppies to soft crate training at an early age because it's a great help in house training. It also gives the puppy a safe place of its own so it gets accustomed to being confined for short periods of time and associates it with positive events. When the puppies go to their new homes at 7-12 weeks of age, they do not have difficulty adjusting to their new home, and the feedback we receive is how well the puppy did the first night. (see photo below for example)
BEHAVIOR SKILLS TRAINING
Beginning at about 13 days of age, we start teaching our puppy’s behavior skills. By the time they're seven weeks old, they have quite a repertoire of good manners. This early task training helps the puppies learn focus, concentration.
GLORY in all her Glory started it all.
